Bands take note: a good promo video will do you the world of good. Here’s a case in point – the beautiful new video for ‘Appointment in Samarra’ by Paul Thomas Saunders.
The beautifully produced track is built around reverby guitar loops, charmingly cheap-sounding keyboard lines, and Saunders’ Cohen-esque lyrics. Visually, it helps that the man himself has such a captivatingly androgynous face.
‘Appointment in Samarra’ is taken from Saunders’ forthcoming Lilac & Wisteria EP, which is out on 4th July.
