Watch: Lanterns On The Lake – You're Almost There

Hazy, elegant vocals, sombre piano keys, percussive echoes and soaring strings all moulded into a beautiful and intricately arranged 3 minutes 16 pretty much guarantees that Lanterns On The Lake’s latest song ‘You’re Almost There’ will find its way to being one of our favourite tracks of the summer.

Having released the Gracious Tide, Take Me Home number as a free download last week, the Newcastle six-piece have now revealed its official video. Moving perfectly in time with the song’s rhythm, the faded, scratched and flickering footage accompanies the haunting, romantic and autumnal soundscape whilst elements of jittery stop animation invigorate the sweeping, smooth instrumentals.

Gracious Tide, Take Me Home will be released on 19 September via Bella Union.
