Posthumous J Dilla Diamonds & Ice EP announced, listen to one of the tracks

Ever since rap producer J Dilla passed in 2006, there’s been an unquenchable public thirst for any material the man left behind. With his estate already overseeing the release of The Lost Scrolls Vol. 1 earlier this year, here’s a new upcoming release in the form of the Diamonds & Ice EP.

The short-player centres around two tracks, ‘Diamonds (The Shining Pt. 1)’ and ‘Ice (The Shining Pt. 2)’, along with the Madlib collab collab ‘The D’, which was originally intended to have J Dilla vocals added to shortly before he died.

Ahead of the upcoming posthumous album The Diary, expected later this year, you can listen to one of these tracks from this EP, ’Diamonds (The Shining Pt. 1)’ streaming beneath.

The Diamonds & Ice EP is out 27 August via Pay Jay.
