Portishead have finally revealed the official version of their take on ABBA's "SOS, and with it comes a chilling video.
The track has been floating about for a while - it features on the OST for High-Rise, a film adaptation of J.G. Ballard's 1975 novel of the same name starring Tom Hiddleston, Sienna Miller, and Elizabeth Moss - but has only now been given the full video treatment. It's a simple video, but strikingly effective; it ends with a quote from MP Jo Cox, who was killed last week for her political views.
This cover is Portishead's first new music in seven years. It follows 2009's "Chase The Tear".
