Pond unveil "Man It Feels Like Space Again" video
Oz-residing psych-rockers POND have unshackled their new music video for "Man It Feels Like Space Again", the title track from their upcoming album.
The video has been sculpted by Melbourne creatives Jesse Taylor Smith and Jenna Eriksen, with Smith explaining the ideas that came together to make it:
"After we made the clip for ‘Midnight Mass’ the band were interested in making another music video disguised as archival footage. Nick and Jay liked the idea of making a kids television show which tied in nicely with Ben Montero's playful cover art and it's something I've always wanted to take a stab at (literally). I went away and listened to the song about seven hundred times and the concept seemed to naturally descend into a satanic sesame street. Over the next few months co-creator Jenna Eriksen and I spent a lot of time making puppets and costumes while inadvertently sniffing glue. Come to think of it, that might explain some of the nightmares that inspired the second half of the video... If people take anything away from the clip it should be that aliens are real and puppets are people too."
Man It Feels Like Space Again is out 26 January.
