Poliça share new album track 'Chain My Name'
Poliça have unveiled ’Chain My Name’, dropped as Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record last night (19 August).
The Minneapolis outfit, led by one Channy Leaneagh, have aired a new track from forthcoming album Shulamith; check it out below. ‘Chain My Name’ follows the April release of Justin Vernon-featuring cut ‘Tiff’, and proves a much less haunting listen, with buoyant synths building to energised chanting of the song’s title.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Radio 1, Leaneagh was keen to emphasise the track’s lack of an electronic drum beat, suggesting it stood out as one of the few songs on the album to possess such a quality.
Stream ‘Chain My Name’ below; Shulamith is due on the 21 October via Memphis Industries.
