Polar Bear release new single ahead of London show
Polar Bear, recently nominated for the Mercury Prize for their LP In Each And Every One, have shared new single "Cuckoo (With Jin Jin)".
It comes ahead of the band's show 9 October at The Lexington.
"Cuckoo (With Jin Jin)" samples singer Jin Jin's vocals, smooshed through a salmagundi of exotic beats and jazzy hooks.
Explaining the cut, Polar Bear's Sebastian Rochford, succinctly, says:
“I started to make ‘Cuckoo’ out of a section that I wrote for ‘Chotpot’ but didn’t use on the album."
The band will play three other shows (for now) this year:
October
26 - Calstock Jazz And Blues Festival, CORNWALL
November
13 - The Auditorium, Sheffield
19 - Firebug Bar, Leicester
