PJ Harvey’s mantelpiece is hardly short of trophies and accolades. 2011 saw the singer pick up her second Mercury Prize for Let England Shake, while just last year she was awarded an MBE from the Queen. Now though, she’s to be recognised with a honorary degree from Goldsmiths University in London.
As NME report, Harvey will receive the honour at a ceremony on 10 September, alongside the likes of poet George Szirtes, architect Dame Zaha Hadid and others. Previous recipients of honorary degrees from the University of London arts institute include Jools Holland and Placebo’s Brian Molko.
Harvey released her latest album Let England Shake in 2011.
