Phoenix sing about gelato and the Buzzcocks on their new single
Phoenix have unveiled "Ti Amo", a jangly new summer stunner from their upcoming album of the same name.
The record follows Bankrupt! and details of it come after a prolonged period of teasing from the French troupe. "Ti Amo" is the second cut to be shared following lead single "J-Boy", and it comes with a karaoke-style lyric vid.
Ti Amo was recorded with Pierrick Devin at Paris' La Gaîté Lyrique. It's described by Phoenix as "an album about simple pure emotions: love, desire, lust, and innocence [and their] European, latin roots, a fantasized version of Italy: a lost paradise made of eternal Roman summers (hyper-light, hyper-clarity, pistachio gelato), juke-boxes on the beach, Monica Vitti and Marcello Mastroiani, fearless desire and Antique marble statues."
Phoenix have a massive series of world tour dates coming this summer - find out more.
