Phoebe Bridgers reveals she got "teary" while recording "Nothing New" for Red (Taylor's Version)
Phoebe Bridgers has said that while recording "Nothing New" for Taylor Swift's Red (Taylor's Version) album, she got "teary".
Tomorrow (12 November) Taylor Swift's second re-recorded album Red (Taylor's Version) will arrive (following April's Fearless (Taylor's Version)), and Phoebe Bridgers has told Billboard about recording the From The Vault track "Nothing New".
Bridgers said, "It’s just been a dream. I just am so excited to have people take it at face value the day that it comes out, because I got teary recording it. I just couldn't be more excited."
Speaking about Swift's decision to re-record her albums, Bridgers added, "It's really inspiring for me and a lot of musicians. I think a lot of people make a couple of records [and are] like, "Oh wow, I hit the top, I’m great now," and the fact that she just has always wanted more from the world -- like, “No, no, no, fuck you, I’m going to make it again, I’m going to make it better, and it’s going to belong to me" -- is the coolest."
As well as preparing to release Red (Taylor's Version) tomorrow, Swift will be dropping a short film (written, directed and starring Swift) to accompany the 10-minute version of "All Too Well". A short trailer for the film was unveiled last Friday (5 November).
