Pharrell’s live-streamed performance from the Apollo Theater to be directed by Spike Lee

One week from today, Pharrell Williams will perform at the Apollo Theater as part of the American Express Unstaged series, in which noteworthy directors film noteworthy artists in concert. Today, it’s been shared that the director paired with Williams will be Spike Lee.
Previous entries in the series have included another Spike Lee pairing with John Legend, as well as The Arcade Fire with Terry Gilliam, Jack White with Gary Oldman, Vampire Weekend with Steve Buscemi and The Killers with Werner Herzog.
The Pharrell/Lee production will be held on 3 June at New York’s Apollo Theater and will be available to stream live at amexunstaged.com.
