Peter Jackson gives five-minute preview of new Beatles documentary Get Back
Peter Jackson has shared a generous preview of his upcoming Get Back documentary on The Beatles.
The Beatles: Get Back was due to be released this year, but because of COVID-19 the release date has been pushed back until late summer next year.
While fans wait, director and producer Peter Jackson has decided to share a generous montage that gives fans a taste of what to expect from the film.
Jackson reveals in the clip that the production team have been allowed to resume working on the film after New Zealand managed to contain the virus, and are currently editing 56 hours of unseen footage, which Jackson says they're "about half-way" through.
In a press release Jackson said, "We wanted to give the fans of The Beatles all over the world a holiday treat, so we put together this five-minute sneak peek at our upcoming theatrical film The Beatles: Get Back. We hope it will bring a smile to everyone’s faces and some much-needed joy at this difficult time."
