Pet Shimmers release new cut "All Time Glow"

28 September 2020, 13:15 | Written by Cerys Kenneally

Pet Shimmers have released new song "All Time Glow" from their second album of the year, Trash Earthers, before it arrives in full on Friday (2 October).

"All Time Glow" is the fourth track to be shared from Trash Earthers, landing after "Snake Eats A Lady", "Live-In Atrocity" and "Imber".

Oliver Wilde says of their new outing, ""All Time Glow" sheds light on all those moments you don’t see at parties, those private moments of escapist relief, regathering of the self and vulnerable expression whilst beyond the door of safety, lies the rest of the world’s party, continuing its march towards oblivion. Sometimes it feels like we’re dogs in hot cars, spinning in circles trying to find fresh air. Hanging on every trusted recommendation our incompetent institutions and financially incentivised algorithms present us with. In the mire of powerlessness, we will always have each other and our precious communities, we can share fresh air with everyone at the click of a button or in the subtlest of gestures, that is a meaningful action today and I guess every day. And, trap hats."

The accompanying video features appearances from various musicians including Fenne Lily, Katy J Pearson, Lazarus Kane, Kier, Norman and more.

Trash Earthers will follow on from Pet Shimmers' debut album Face Down In Meta that landed in January.

Wilde says of their upcoming LP, "During this time, all we’ve been fed is what’s happening in the news, and it quite literally looks like the world is burning, but we have to believe there’s some hope. I guess the record aims to mirror the confusion of this unfamiliar period of history."

He adds, "Although some of it has its tongue in its cheek so to speak, it is more aggressive - it’s less celebratory and is more frustrated."

"All Time Glow" is out now. Pet Shimmers' Trash Earthers album will be released via their own PS Recordings on Friday (2 October), and is available to pre-order now.
