Patti Smith announces Electric Lady Studios livestream
Patti Smith has shared details of a livestream taking place at Electric Lady Studios next month, which will be available exclusively to her Substack subscribers.
Thhe livestream event, announced via Smith's Substack yesterday (19 January), will see Smith joined by longtime collaborators Lenny Kaye and Tony Shanahan for a performance streamed from Electric Lady Studios in New York.
As well as featuring music performances, Smith's livestream will also see her give readings, as well as hosting conversations with viewers.
Smith wrote on her Substack, "Over the next couple weeks, I’d love for my subscribers to requests songs and readings they’d like to be included. I’ll send a note about that soon."
The event, set to take place on 2 February, will only be available to watch for her Substack paid subscribers.
Smith added on Substack, "Before the event, my subscribers will receive an email with a special ticket link and instructions for joining the event. For those of you on the other side of globe, there will be a replay available for 24 hours."
