Patrick Watson announces new album with opening single "Dream For Dreaming"
Patrick Watson has returned with news of his sixth record Wave, alongside revealing the album opener "Dream For Dreaming".
"Dream For Dreaming" is Watson's first single since last year's Safia Nolin collaboration "Mélancolie".
Speaking about the new single, Watson explains, "When you come home and your house doesn’t look like the one you left and the strange feeling of being so far from what you had in mind that your skin doesn’t fit anymore. And you’re in the state of disbelief with a strange smile wondering what am I to do now."
Watson's Wave album is his first since 2015's Love Songs for Robots, and was recorded between Studio 105 and Studio Pierre-Marchand in Montreal. Watson produced his new album, and enlisted the help of Rob Heaney to record and mix the record.
The new album will also feature Watson's “Broken” and "Melody Noir".
