Parklife troll competition winner trying to resell tickets for more than double the original price
Parklife Festival has brutally called out a competition winner after he attempted to resell his prize tickets to the Manchester festival for more than double the original price.
Yesterday (23 March), Manchester's Parklife Festival unveiled its 2021 lineup featuring the likes of Dave, Megan Thee Stallion, Skepta, Disclosure, DaBaby and more.
This morning (24 March), Parklife updated its Twitter to reveal that general admission tickets for the 2021 festival "sold out in record time".
One user responded to the tweet trying to flog three weekend tickets for a staggering £350 each. Weekend general admissions tickets for the 2021 event were being sold on the festival's site for £155, but as it sold out so quickly, the seller wrote that he bumped up the prices due to "supply and demand".
Another user called him out, writing, "Probably exactly the kind of person who bought about eight just to sell them for double the price actual pig." The ticket seller responded, "Na I won tickets for me and my pals so why wouldn’t I sell them?"
His careless tweet didn't go unnoticed though, as Parklife decided to call out the competition winner publicly by retracting his 2021 tickets entirely, "Lol. Your tickets have just been cancelled pal."
Parklife has since deleted the response, but screenshots of the brutal reply are available at metro.co.uk.
