We’ve chatted about Padraig Whelan on and off at TLOBF for the past few years, as it’s always a pleasure when he approaches us with something new. This time, the Yorkshireman come Londoner is offering up a video for the sumptuous tune ‘Who Wears The Light Like You?’ taken from his forthcoming LP.
Padraig’s sublime voice sits alongside a lowly piano and a few gentle touches of slide guitar. It’s a delicate and hushed song, which is perfectly accompanied by the sparse but striking home made images of a glass being lit by candlelight.
Be sure to catch Padraig at one of his upcoming shows, the dates of which can be found on his website.
