Outkast to team up with Frank Ocean
Outkast’s André 3000 and Big Boi are set for a reunion of sorts, teaming up on a Frank Ocean track.
The hip-hop pair last released an album in 2006, pursuing solo ventures since, but now they will both star in a revamped version of Ocean’s ‘Pink Matter’.
The track originally featured on the brilliant Channel Orange last year, with André providing a verse for the physical release.
But now a new recording is set to surface this week starring his Outkast counterpart also.
Big Boi posted a picture of potential lyrics on Tumblr, with the caption:
“Dropping a verse on this Frank Ocean ‘Pink Matter’”
The rapper had previously tweeted that “Dre didn’t want an Outkast record coming out on anybody else’s LP”.
