"Organise Your Music" with Spotify's latest useful tool
"Organise Your Music" is the latest release from Spotify that helps users sort all of their saved songs by genre, mood, decade, style and popularity, organising every music lover's currently chaotic Spotify library.
Following a tweet that went under the radar somewhat, Paul Lamere, the director of the developer platform for Spotify's The Echo Nest, informally announced the availability of "Organise Your Music", a new tool for Spotify
The songs can be sorted by four categories, which in turn can be sub-divided further, getting more niche with each sub-division. Within mood you have happy, sad, chilled, amped amongst many others; within popularity you have hipster, mainstream, popular and many more. The options in sorting your saved music cater for every single music lover and their individual tastes.
Organise Your Music was created during a hackathon hosted by Spotify itself in New York City. A number of other innovations were previewed and tested and we'll wait in anticipation for these potential future releases.
Ultimately the tool is going to make users have a much more streamlined experience on Spotify, with ostensible evidence of who they are as music fans, what they like and what they've saved in their Spotify lifetime.
