Music Week today report that the Official Charts Company will launch the UK’s first Official Streaming Chart at 1pm this coming Monday (May 14).
The Top 100 rundown will be compiled by the Official Charts Company with support from the Entertainment Retailers Association (Era) and labels association the BPI with the data being drawn from ad-funded and subscription services such as Spotify, Deezer, Napster, We7, Zune (X Box Live) and new mobile phone start-up ChartsNow.
The Official Charts Company is also in advanced discussions with key video streaming services to collect their data with the aim of creating a different, standalone video streaming chart.
