N.W.A share font with Only Fools and Horses
A little ‘Did You Know’ for all typography fans out there: Weirdly enough, rap troupe N.W.A’s seminal album Straight Outta Compton seems to exhibit the exact same font as family-friendly British comedy Only Fools and Horses.
The eagle-eyed Akira the Don was the first to spot such similarities, taking to his blog to note: “I thought I was imagining it, then I put them in the same picture, and the truth is undeniable: Only Fools And Horses and N.W.A share a font! Seriously, look at the “N”. It is identical.”
Continuing: “What a wonderful thing to have happened! The greatest British TV comedy and the greatest Gangsta rap group, united in logo type! Dreams are made of this!”
So there you have it, Akira the Don finds the missing link between Del Boy and Dre. The TV show came first, so maybe the Compton rappers were just big fans.
