London-based shoegazers Novella are set to release their first album via Captured Tracks’ new Sinderlyn label on 11 May.
The one-time trio now boasts a five-member lineup, and their sound is all the bigger for it. Land - which was recorded during a single week in January with Jonas Verijnen (Moon Duo, Ballet School) and Joshua Third (The Horrors) - promises to be charged with krautrock rhythms and flanged-tinged, furious riffs, with guitarist and singer Hollie Warren adding an intense take on dreampop vocals atop the chaos, Novella blend genres seamlessly.
