Nine Inch Nails guitarist Adrian Belew quits band
The same week as Nine Inch Nails announced a new album, single and tour, another member of Trent Reznor’s live band bites the dust.
Following the departure of bassist Eric Avery last month, the industrial group’s guitarist and King Crimson member Adrian Belew has now left the band, citing incompatibility with the band’s frontman.
In a Facebook message that’s now been deleted, Belew wrote: “I greatly respect trent and the music he makes. no one is at fault. we both agreed it just was not working.” He later posted another status, simply saying: “concerning me being part of the 2013 Nine Inch Nails band: it didn’t work.”
NiN’s new album Hesitation Marks comes out in September, with its lead track ‘Come Back Haunted’ streaming now.
