Niki and the Dove turn heads at London show
Hotly-tipped Swedes Niki and the Dove returned to the the UK capital for a show last night that sent jaws dropping and heads spinning.
Playing to a packed, sweaty room in Islington’s Electrowerkz, fans were treated to a set that included new single ‘The Fox’ as well as the amazing ‘Mother Protect’ and debut release ‘DJ Ease My Mind’. The band were accompanied by two masked dancers who swirled ribbons and helped singer Malin hand out long-stemmed leaves to the crowd.
Among those in attendance: Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac, who later took to Twitter proclaiming singer Malin as “amazing”.
The band, who we’ve been shouting about for some time, were supported by I Am Camera and Seams, another TLOBF favourite.
Niki & the Dove’s The Fox is released on 12″ vinyl in June. They play The Haunt in Brighton tomorrow night (26 May).
