Nickelback play along with "Photograph" meme in hilarious Google Photos ad
Nickelback have finally given in to the meme that came out of their "Photograph" video by playing along with it in the new Google Photos advert.
When someone mentions Nickelback, an instant vision of Chad Kroeger blurting out "LOOK AT THIS GRAPH" comes to mind, overshadowing the 2005 original.
15 years on from the release of "Photograph", and a few years after the inception of the "Photograph" meme, Nickelback have finally played along with the joke - although it's probably just to earn some big bucks - by performing a parody version of the original for the latest Google Photos advert.
The ad begins with Kroeger holding up a picture - although he's opted for a picture on a phone rather than a photo in a frame like the original music video - and the parody-style lyrics start rolling out, with Kroeger singing about having "shot a million more" photographs of his dessert, but he doesn't know what for.
Kroeger's best line on the Google Photos advert comes shortly after, "Falling down the photo rabbit hole / Is it my hair or just a ramen bowl?", before launching into the chorus that sees Kroeger sing about "regretting all my hairstyles".
