First up, The Sadies have announced plans to release a new album via Yep Roc in May. Entitled Darker Circles, it’s the follow-up to their acclaimed last album New Seasons and sees guitarist brothers Dallas and Travis Good, drummer Mike Belitsky and bassist Sean Dean again pair with legendary Jayhawk and sought-after producer Gary Louris. The album was recorded in one marathon twelve day session at the ‘Bathhouse’ studio and five more at Toronto’s Woodshed.
On a less Americana note, David Holmes is set to release The Dogs Are Parading on 26th April, a best of that takes you on a journey through the last two decades of his output.
