An unheard demo by The Smiths has been unearthed, dating back to 1983.
The recording, taken at a jeans warehouse in Manchester, totals at 40 minutes in length and shows the band during one of their earliest rehearsal sessions.
The clip was posted online by Smiths drummer Mike Joyce, seemingly in response to Johnny Marr’s following nostalgia-hating tweet
Hey journos who are stuck comparing everything to 30 years ago, stop it. You’re annoying to everyone who likes the new stuff too. You dicks.
