New festival 'Alt Fest' using Kickstarter to fund launch
A new UK festival is aiming to launch by crowdsourcing funding from potential gig-goers on Kickstarter.
Alt Fest is aiming to take place on 15-17 August 2014 at the Boughton House in Kettering, Northamptonshire (pictured above) and is giving fans the chance to handpick their own festival.
They’re aiming to reach a £30,000 target which will ensure its launch next year.
So far, the festival – which promises to celebrate “alternative music, art, lifestyles and culture” - has booked the likes of Fields of the Nephilim, Atari Teenage Riot, Eisbrecher, Alec Empire and more.
The current total stands at £7,169 pledged by 98 people with 29 days to go. You can follow the project here.
