Nadine Shah named North East's Performing Artist Of The Year

Nadine Shah has been announced as the North East's Best Performing Artist in a ceremony celebrating the region's top talent across the arts.
After seeing her earlier this year, we'd be inclined to agree.
She was given the award yesterday (30 June) by The Journal as part of their Culture Awards ceremony at Sunderland Minster. You can find the full list of winners from categories such as comedy, writing, theatre and live performance, here.
Shah's second record, Fast Food, is out now.
