The British Board of Film Classification are teaming up with Google to introduce age ratings for music videos, it’s been announced.
“Google has said that if we start to age-rate videos, they will carry the BBFC age rating,” said the organisation who recently launched new guidelines on age certifications.
The BBFC have also stated that they’ll “look at the possibility of parental controls in relation to age rating” for videos that include “inappropriate behaviour”.
It’s been confirmed that the system would only affect UK-produced videos at first.
