
Music over 120 BPM banned from group exercise classes in South Korea due to COVID-19
South Korea has restricted music genres over 120 BPM being used in group exercise classes as part of the latest COVID-19 measures following a spike in new cases.
As GRM Daily reports, Grime music and other genres with 120 BPM or more have been banned from exercise classes including aerobics and cycling in South Korea after the country recorded 1,316 new cases in a day.
The new restrictions also includes a requirement of keeping speeds under 6km/h on a treadmill, have been enforced following the spike in new cases,
While most Grime music and much of BTS' discography have been banned from the group classes, songs including Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" and "Poker Face" can still be used, as they're just under the highest BPM level at 119.
