Mudhoney perform live from top of 600ft Seattle Space Needle building
It used to be a matter of what size venues you can fill, now it seems to be that bands are competing over the highest building they can perform from.
After Yeah Yeah Yeahs recently filmed a music video from the roof of the Empire State building, now Mudhoney have performed atop the Space Needle in Seattle.
The grunge veterans threw a party in their hometown yesterday (11 July) from the peak of one of the tallest buildings in North America to mark the 25th anniversary of their record label, and iconic Seattle institution, Sub Pop.
You can watch the band perform 605ft from the ground in the video below. The news is the latest in a string of celebratory events Sub Pop have announced recently, including a festival, compilation release, their own range of footwear and a makeover of a local hotel.
