Mr Jukes and Barney Artist link with Tom Misch for live performance of new track "Poems"
Mr Jukes and Barney Artist have shared new song "Poems" from their collaborative album The Locket, alongside a live performance video that sees them link with Tom Misch.
Ahead of The Locket dropping tomorrow (6 August), Mr Jukes (aka Jack Steadman) and Barney Artist have unveiled a final preview of their joint album in the form of new song "Poems".
The new song is accompanied by a live performance video that sees the duo join forces with guest guitarist Tom Misch.
Barney Artist says, "Jack sent me the beat for "Poems" on a late Tuesday night. Immediately I got the chorus stuck in my head and the verses followed as it reminded me of a girl in secondary school that liked me for my lyrics and not my looks."
Steadman adds, "Definitely a J Dilla / A Tribe Called Quest-inspired beat and one for a warm summer evening. This was the first song that Barney got me to sing on properly - our first duet."
The Locket will also feature earlier outings "Gratitude", "Blowin Steam (Open Up Your Mind)", "Vibrate" and "Check The Pulse" featuring Kofi Stone.
