Morrissey ranks his "most appreciated" audiences of 2016
In the aftermath of Morrissey's US tour cancellation, the erstwhile Smiths frontman has ranked his favourite crowds.
"The 28 shows played on this tour have been outstanding triumphs as yet another year strengthens and solidifies our positions around the world," he writes on semi-official mouthpiece True To You.
Despite a run of acclaimed performances, the forced "pulling down" of shows in Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio has left Morrissey and his band and crew "in unrecoverable despair."
Morrissey puts the blame of these failed dates squarely on 360 Management, who he says "faded out as quickly as they had faded in."
He continues, writing about the music industry in general and the strength of his own band. At the end of the statement, the "Kiss Me A Lot" crooner pens a list of his favourite shows - ranked by which crowds he most appreciated.
Philadelphia top the list, with Tel-Aviv coming 15th on the 15-strong rundown. His hometown of Manchester gets a middling eighth.
"This year, the mobilized strength of our ragingly loyal audiences were most appreciated, by me, at:"
