Morrissey postpones entire South American tour due to food poisoning
A whole host of new live dates have fallen victim to Morrissey’s increasingly worrying ill-health.
The singer has battled double pneumonia, a bleeding ulcer and throat condition Barrett’s oesophagus in recent months, now revealing that he has been forced to put his South American tour on hold after he and his crew were hit by severe food poisoning.
The dates include shows in Chile, Brazil and Argentina, originally scheduled for the rest of July and into August. The news also follows the cancellation of Morrissey’s recent North American tour, which was originally postponed before being scrapped all together.
Pitchfork note that sources close to the musician say he’s heading back to England to be treated by his “personal physicians”.
