Morrissey dropped by record label (again)
Morrissey has sure worked his way through a number of labels during his career - from Rough Trade to HMV to Decca, Attack and more recently, Harvest Records/Capitol. Now, he seems to be on the hunt for a home once again.
According to definitive Moz fansite True To You, the singer has been dropped by the label just weeks after the release of latest LP World Peace Is None Of Your Business, “as directed by label boss Steve Barnett”.
The move follows an online rant from Moz, in which he criticises the imprint for the lack of support following his new album, specifically their failure to make a music video.
“Morrissey is once again in search of a record label,” the note ends.
