Morrissey cancels release of autobiography following “last minute disagreement” with publishers
The memoirs of Bigmouth himself, Smiths frontman Morrissey, was set to be released next week. Now, to many gossip-mongers’ dismay, it has subsequently been shelved.
As True To You report, a ”last minute disagreement” with publishers Penguin Books has meant that the succinctly-entitled book, Autobiography, will now not be released on 16 September as previously planned, with the project put on hold until Moz can find another publishing company.
The statement reads:
“Although Morrissey’s Autobiography was set to be available throughout the UK on September 16th, a last-minute content disagreement between Penguin Books and Morrissey has caused the venture to collapse. No review copies were printed, and Morrissey is now in search of a new publisher.”
