Morrissey announces Gothenburg book launch and signing
Morrissey’s mystery-shrouded new book is finally coming tomorrow, with the former Smiths frontman announcing that he’ll appear at a Swedish book shop to sign his memoirs for fans.
Fan site True To You previously reported that a ”last minute disagreement” with publishers Penguin Books meant that the succinctly-entitled book, Autobiography, would not be released on 16 September as previously planned, with the project put on hold until Moz could find another publishing company.
The same site later said that there’s been a change in developments, with the book supposedly still on its way come 17 October. Now it appears there’ll be a launch for the entire thing.
A statement reads:
“Morrissey will appear at Akademibokhandeln Nordstan in Goteborg (Sweden) on Thursday 17 October to sign copies of his Autobiography.”
No additional book signings are planned.”
The memoirs will be published by Penguin Classics, costing £8.99 and also coming as an eBook.
