UK supermarket chain Morrisons have bought six of HMV‘s stores to turn in to food shops.
The premises will be converted into ‘M Local’ branches, the brand’s one-stop neighbourhood stores.
It’s also been reported that Morrisons have acquired 49 former stores from troubled video chain Blockbuster.
The news comes as HMV are expected to close even more outlets.
