Mogwai to perform Zidane soundtrack live in London
Glasgow post-rockers, Mogwai are set to play their renowned score for 2006 documentary film Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait (or Zidane, un portrait du 21e siècle in French) in its entirety at an upcoming London gig.
The group, who also recently soundtracked a French zombie TV show, had already announced that they’ll perform the soundtrack in full during the Manchester International Festival on 19 and 20 July, but now they’ve confirmed an additional show to take placeat London’s Barbican Centre on 26 July.
The movie, directed by Douglas Gordon, depicts an entire football match shot by following Zidane’s movements alone.
