MØ drops surprise six-track EP and shares visuals for title track "When I Was Young"
MØ has released a brand new EP titled When I Was Young and shared a video for the lead single and title track.
MØ has been teasing "When I Was Young" - no relation to the similarly titled Killers anthem - all week. It's the centrepiece of a six-track release that follows debut LP No Mythologies To Follow.
"Making the EP has been such a nice flashback experience because I forgot about the little things; how you put the songs together, the lyrics, the song titles and the artwork," the Danish pop sensation says. "Just being in the bubble of that energy is so fucking awesome. It's so amazing to be able to create a universe."
MØ hasn't released a proper EP or album in a fair while, but she's definitely been busy smashing records and teaming up with impressive names. She's also lobbed a few solo cuts into the either, including "Nights With You", "Final Song", "Drum", and "Kamikaze".
This short-player, which you can hear below, features production from MØ, Kristoffer Fogelmark, FTSE, Grant William Russell Harris, Mantra, Albin Neder, Fridolin Nordsø, Vera, and Vasco.
"These years have been a learning process about what's important, and that's what this EP reflects," MØ adds. "These songs were chosen instinctively, and by a gut feeling really, but they're all about both looking back and forward.
MØ is set to tour the UK and Ireland next spring, with shows at Dublin's Olympia Theatre and Glasgow's O2 ABC in March, and a headline stop at London's O2 Academy Brixton in April. Find out full details.
