Songwriter of the Year nominee MNEK has spoken about his new era since becoming an independent artist on the red carpet at today's (21 September) Ivor Novello Awards, revealing that he'd like to build artists up and launch his own label.
MNEK told PRS for Music, "I'm now stepping into this era where I've left my record label, so I'm an independent artist, and I'm gonna start developing artists and start my own label and really honing in on that."
"It's all good and well working with the big names and stuff," MNEK added. "But I think it's great when you're able to make a success story from the ground up."
