Miguel, Marnie Stern, Mac DeMarco & more contribute to Adult Swim 'Summer Singles' series
TV network Adult Swim commences its annual ‘Summer Singles’ series this week with a track from Run The Jewels, the new joint project of hip-hop artists Killer Mike and El-P.
Last year’s inaugural Summer Singles Program saw single releases from Death Grips, The Hives and Flying Lotus, while this time around the latter appears as alter-ego rapper Captain Murphy alongside names such as Lil B, Marnie Stern, and notoriously hazardous performer Miguel.
Elsewhere, the likes of Kitty Pryde, Metz, Autre Ne Veut, Mac DeMarco, Dan Deacon and more will contribute to the series.
“36″ Chain” is the maiden offering from the series, a fierce and peremptory cut that will only enhance the reputations of collaborators Killer Mike and El-P. A full-length album from Run The Jewels is expected to be released free this month through independent label Fools Gold.
You can listen to “36″ Chain”, and the other tracks as they are released each week, here.
