Michael Rault provides a snippet of psychedelic summer with new offering "New Day Tonight"
The Canadian rocker Michael Rault embraces a psychedelic, 60's infused sound on new track "New Day Tonight".
It's not often you stumble across a track that insteantly makes you time travel. If you're a Michael Rault fan however, you can expect to be transported to Woodstock, or a psychedelic festival equivalent.
Oozing with actual rays of sunshine, rocker Rault manages to pursue, and replenish that feel good, 60's summer sound.
Speaking about "New Day Tonight", Rault explains, "It was the first song I wrote for the album, so it's very near and dear to my heart. Lyrically, it's a semi-autobiographical tale of someone who only feels good in the evening. I like the fact that the song is almost completely describing a positive nightlife experience, but the opening line implies that it's coming as a major relief after spending much of the day depressed."
Directed by Amanda Macchia, "New Day Tonight" video is inspired by Groundhog Day, and follows Rault as he ventures out into the city night to play out a series of social scenarios.
