
MF DOOM and Jay Electronica appear on new "Barz Simpson" song by Sonnyjim and The Purist
Sonnyjim and The Purist have released their new single "Barz Simpson", which features the late MF DOOM and Jay Electronica.
"Barz Simpson" is the first taster of Sonnyjim and The Purist's forthcoming album White Girl Wasted, and sees them link up with the late MF DOOM and Jay Electronica.
According to a press release, Sonnyjim recorded his verse in one take, and when he and The Purist agreed that it sounnded like a DOOM track, they asked him to contribute 16 bars. MF DOOM returned the track a day later, and had recorded double the amount they asked for.
White Girl Wasted has been in the works for four years, and will also feature contributions from DJ Premier, Madlib, Lee Scott and Milkaveli.
