Metronomy bassist Olugbenga links with Athlete Whippet for new single "All At Once"
Metronomy's bassist Olugbenga Adelekan has teamed up with Athlete Whippet for a collaborative EP titled Touch, as well as revealing the lead single "All At Once".
"All At Once" is the first taster of Olugbenga and Athlete Whippet's three-track Touch EP.
Speaking about the new offering, Olugbenga says, "I wanted to write a lyric that evoked the excitement of making a connection with someone on a heaving dancefloor. That electricity that can bind two people and make them feel like they are the only ones in the room even if there might be hundreds of other people around them. In those moments it can seem like you are in the thrall of forces beyond your control - these are the moments I know I look for when I go dancing. Sometimes you might go back to the same club or go and see the same DJ hoping to repeat an experience, hoping that lightning will strike twice in the same spot. I've never found that you can re-live those moments. That's what makes them so special."
