Metric's Emily Haines shares new track "Planet" from upcoming solo record Choir Of The Mind
Metric frontwoman Emily Haines shares "Planets", a new single from her first solo album in 10 years, Choir Of The Mind.
"Planets" is her latest release from the follow up to 2006's Knives Don't Have Your Back. The track comes complete with a video directed by Justin Broadbent, who also designed the album cover. It follows the release of lead single "Fatal Gift" last month.
Produced by both Haines and her spiritual advisor/musical partner Jimmy Shaw, the album is set to deal with subjects such as life, loss, and being a woman in the world.
The album will be supported by a North American tour, starting in late November. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the She Decides campaign, set up to aid reproductive health programs in developing countries in the aftermath of cuts to American foreign aid.
