Memory Tapes and Loney Dear reveal new songs via SiC Compilation
A label close to our hearts launches its 100th release in fine style. Something In Construction unveiled Love SiC Disco – a label sampler slash general friends and comrades love-in – earlier today via The Guardian to a tsunami of blogger attention. “Why?” You cry. Well this one is a wee bit special in the fact that it features the first material from two of its greatest artists. Memory Tapes returns with ‘Today Is Our Life’ – a cut from the forthcoming sophomore album whilst Loney Dear marks his return to the label that gave birth to his commercial debut Sologne (in 2006) with ‘Loney Blues’ – taken from the eagerly awaited Hall Music, due later this year. Imagine if we had a new Air France track to complete the holy trinity… Alas. No.
Add to the mix a whole host of great stuff from fellow SiC acts The Concretes, ANR, A Lull, Niva and The Gay Blades plus a host of tracks from labels luminaries and friends. Stream the compilation in full via Soundcloud below or hit the download link beneath it for the mp3′s.
