Melvins announce new album Hold It In, Butthole Surfers members join band
The Melvins have announced details of their next album release.
Following on from 2013’s Tres Cabrones and Buzz Osborne’s recent solo LP, the band will now issue Hold It In on 14 October. The record sees a new line-up consisting of Osborne, Dale Crover and Butthole Surfers members Paul Leary and JD Pinkus.
“Hold It In is a refreshing piece of fiction in a boring world of fact and bullshit,” Osborne said of the album. “Paul is one of the best guitar players I have ever heard and Pinkus has an outside-the-box type of approach to both guitar and bass that you just have to let it ride. I can’t believe this actually happened. I’m thrilled.”
