Meek Mill apologises to Vanessa Bryant following "insensitive" lyric about Kobe Bryant
Meek Mill has confirmed that he apologised to Vanessa Bryant privately after she called him out for his "insensitive and disrespectful" lyric about her late husband Kobe Bryant.
Following a leak of Meek Mill's "Don't Worry (RIP Kobe)" song last week, the rapper has revealed he has apologised to Kobe Bryant's widow Vanessa after she called out Meek Mill on Instagram over his lyrics.
Vanessa Bryant tagged Meek Mill in her Instagram Story this morning (23 February), which shows a screenshot of some of the lyrics from "Don't Worry (RIP Kobe)", "Yeah, and if I ever lack, I'm goin' out with my chopper, it be another Kobe." Vanessa Bryant wrote underneath the lyrics, "Dear Meek Mill, I find this line to be extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period. I am not familiar with any of your music, but I believe you can do better than this. If you are a fan, fine, there's a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact."

Following her message on social media, Meek Mill has since revealed that he has apologised to Vanessa Bryant, just not in public. He wrote on Twitter, "I apologized to her in private earlier today not to the public...Nothing I say on my page directed to a internet viral moment or the family of a grieving woman! If you care about someone grieving change the subject!"
